ShareRoom and Web Login Display Issues in Internet Explorer

We are aware of an issue with Internet Explorer 7 and above that causes the ShareRoom and My Login interface to display incorrectly (just the page header is shown, and the folders/files below are blank). We are working on fixing this for all Internet Explorer users, but in the meantime there is a simple workaround.

If you are using Internet Explorer 7 or 8, there is an option you can enable to fix the display, called “Compatibility Mode”. You can enable this by clicking on the “Broken page” icon at the righthand side of the address bar.

Other browsers such as Internet Explorer 6, Safari, Firefox, and Opera are not affected. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

If you have the time, would you mind updating the release notes for the client?

Using IE 8 and no problems whatsoever in normal mode. No need for compability mode for me. Wierd..
    IE Version: 8.0.7100.0
    IE Update version: 0
    OS Windows 7
    OS Version: 7100

Unlike the previous comment, IE 8 is a problem for:
    IE Version: 8.0.7600.16385
    OS Windows 7
    OS Version: 7600
I must use Tools and click "Compatibility View" to make it work.

using ie 8 and xp sp 2. even with compatability mode this is still difficult as the actual file area is only one line high – i can just access the scroll button to scroll down but can only see one line of files at a time.

The refresh icon (Broken Page ?) in IE 8 does not offer a "compatibility mode" option …this is available under the Tools tab (?). I entered spideoak.com as a website to be viewed under this option…then ran my test spideroak share…which promptly crashed and got enmeshed in a debugging exercise as line 1 of the code required a missing object….

Any further advice ?…apart from wait for the Spideroak fix to come through?

It would be really helpful if you put a note in the header of each share room saying "If you use IE7 or above, please enable Compatibility Mode (on the Tools menu) to view the files."

If you wanted to really get fancy you could detect the browser and only turn the message on for IE7 or above. I just spent a day trying to explain to someone that the files WERE THERE. When they were assuring me that they were not.

I'm using IE 7.0.57xxx. There is no "broken page" icon in my browser. Plus, I can't seem to find a compatibility mode under tools. Any idea where I go to run this?
